Regulated speeds help to save on gas mileage. Do the speed limit and keep your speed
consistent. Speeding and aggressive braking lowers gas mileage by around 5 percent
when driving city speeds and up to 33 percent at highway speeds. And for every 5 mph
you drive over 60 mph, you reduce gas mileage by 10 percent. Using your cruise
control can also save gas since it regulates your speed. Driving more sensibly can
save you 5%-33% on your gasoline costs.

Get ride of the junk in the trunk. The extra weight can cost you in fuel and
reduce your mileage, not to mention slow you down.

Keeping your car properly maintained can improve your gas mileage as much as 19%.

car's gas mileage by as much as 10 percent.
